DIRECTVIEW EVP Plus Software
Exploit the full range of exposure data without any loss of detail contrast with DIRECTVIEW EVP Plus Software. This imaging software produces images of exceptional diagnostic quality. EVP Plus is designed with a number of time saving features that reduce capture set up times and elevate the overall image quality. The results are greater operational efficiency and consistent, higher- quality images that help improve patient diagnosis.
The Image Preference Setup Tool
enables simple customization of image processing preferences that can be unique for different applications or for different end users. The pre-selection of these preferences enables CR and DR systems to be installed with the customers’ preferred looks for all images.
Easy to Use/ No Intervention
To enhance images even further DIRECTVIEW EVP SOFTWARE takes only one simple adjustment. It significantly reduces the need to window/level images presented on workstation displays.
Diagnostic Satisfaction
In a recent study*, DIRECTVIEW EVP Software increased diagnostic satisfaction in 76% of all cases. (See Specs for study details.)
Improved Diagnostic Accuracy / Radiologist Productivity
The ability of the enhanced visualization algorithm to capture more of an image without loss of contrast, allows radiographers to identify an image more clearly in less time, increasing accuracy, workflow and productivity.
Available on Carestream DR and DRX systems and floor standing CR systems.
The EVP algorithm requires specification of three parameters — gain, density, and kernel size.
- Size film: all sizes

*STUDY RESULTS:
In independent ratings by ten Board-certified radiologists covering fourteen CR examination types, DIRECTVIEW EVP Software images increased diagnostic satisfaction in 76% of all cases studied. The study concluded that EVP:
- Reduces or eliminates the need to hot-light soft-tissue and other over-penetrated areas
- Reduces the need to window/level images presented on workstation displays
- Eliminates loss of detail in dense bone and other under-penetrated areas
- Provides enhanced anatomical context
- Provides robust automatic tonescale process
